This philosophy was at the heart of our participation in the KFC European Tech & Digital Summit 2025, held this October in Madrid — an event that brought together numerous participants, including KFC franchisees, technology partners, and global teams from across Europe.

For us, it was an inspiring opportunity to represent LoyaltyPlant, meet our current KFC partners in person, exchange insights with key leaders, and discuss bold digital strategies to make the brand’s growth in 2026 even stronger.

Takeaway #2: Bringing the KFC Summit to Life with a Custom App

To make the event experience truly immersive and meaningful, LoyaltyPlant developed a dedicated KFC Summit App. Our goal was to give attendees the same sense of engagement and delight that KFC guests experience every day — turning the summit into an interactive, memorable journey rather than just a series of sessions.

The app featured the full summit agenda, venue map, and live event updates — all wrapped in the familiar UX design and gamified loyalty logic of a real KFC app. Guests could explore different sections, complete goals, unlock rewards, and even place orders, creating a hands-on experience that demonstrated how digital engagement drives customer excitement and loyalty.

The most engaging part of the app was, of course, a game!  The Finger Lickin’ KFC mini-game was fully customized for the brand and built around a simple, addictive idea: slice real KFC dishes while avoiding the fakes like pizza, fries, and other non-KFC items. Those who completed the challenge entered to win the grand prize — an iPhone 17.

To keep the experience seamless, we used smart landing pages that guided attendees from playing the game to downloading the app and activating their rewards.

This play-to-win mini-game became a standout engagement tool, cutting through the noise and resonating especially well with Gen Z attendees.

The feedback was fantastic: attendees loved how the app brought the KFC brand to life in a fun, interactive, and innovative way.

Takeaway #3: Strong connections and a shared vision for 2026

It was a true pleasure to meet in person both the KFC markets already powered by LoyaltyPlant and those just beginning their digital transformation journey. We exchanged ideas, discussed future goals, and strengthened our collaboration for the year ahead.

Our Founder & CEO, Vas Dichenko, took the stage with an inspiring session titled “The App That Actually Grows Your KFC Franchise: 7 Pitfalls to Avoid.”
Alina Kiptyk, CEO of KFC Ukraine Franchisee, and Ivan Tymko, Country IT Manager, presented a powerful case study on how KFC Ukraine advanced technologically this year, introducing App, Web, Kiosk, Delivery, and Loyalty — and grew from 0 to 100 in just one year.

The summit was a reminder of what’s possible when shared vision, technology, and collaboration come together — setting the stage for an even stronger 2026.
